À la suite des propos incendiaires tenus par Showkutally Soodhun, vice-Premier ministre et ministre du Logement et des Terres lors d’une réunion à son bureau en juillet dernier, le député du PTr, Shakeel Mohamed présentera une motion de No Confidence contre le numéro quatre du gouvernement. La motion se lit comme suit :“That this house has no confidence in Hon. Showkutally Soodhun, presently the Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius and holding the portfolio of the Ministry of Housing and Land and this house resolves that the said member should be removed as Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Housing and Lands of the Republic of Mauritius”.
Shakeel Mohamed dit aussi souhaiter que cette motion soit à l’agenda de la prochaine séance parlementaire et qu’elle soit traitée comme « a matter of priority ».
