Scandale de match truqué : Tentative de cover-up de la part de la MFA ?

Rebondissements dans l’affaire de match truqué entre EBRRMR et GRSEW lors de la dernière journée de National 1 le 9 mars dernier. En effet, après avoir écouté les plaidoiries de toutes les parties concernées, le tribunal d’arbitrage mis sur pied par la MFA a été dissous, renvoyant l’affaire devant un comité disciplinaire de la MFA.

Certains verraient cela comme une tentative de noyer le poisson dans l’eau.  « The tribunal, after having considered the submissions of all counsel and the relevant statutes governing the MFA, the MFA Discplinary Committee and the MFA Arbitration Tribunal […] has no difficulty to hold that indeed, this Tribunal has no jurisdiction to entertain the abovemetionned complaint », lit-on dans le document en date du 17 avril.

Par ailleurs, Me Denis Vellien statue que « The proper forum is the Disciplinary Committee which by virtue of its own statute is enjoined, upon a report in writing of alleged fraud and corruption, by the applicant (Vale Starlight) to entertain such complaint. The Arbitral request is otherwise set aside », conclut le rapport.
